Find My Ride — Context-Aware Pickup

MarketplaceRoutingSafetyLocalizationUX
The product

Marketplace product case focused on improving the last 100 metres between rider intent and physical pickup.

The problem

Pickup failures can happen when a generic map interface does not match the real-world environment, creating ambiguity, waiting and cancellation friction.

01 — Problem → Decision

What I saw, and how I got to the solution.

01

Separate map failure from context failure

Looked at why pickup is difficult in airports, dense streets and unfamiliar places where a pin is not enough to identify the right meeting point.

02

Design around context

Proposed landmark / safe-zone pickup, context-aware routing, clearer choice architecture, multilingual communication and vehicle verification.

03

Make reliability measurable

Framed cancellation, pickup wait time and convergence reliability as validation measures rather than claiming a shipped lift.

02 — Outcome / Validation

What changed or what I would validate next.

Designed a more resilient pickup experience aimed at reducing location ambiguity and cancellation friction. This remains a case-study concept, not production impact.

Coursework case study. No production KPI improvement is claimed.
